Earth Spice slow release tablets

Ever increasing demands are being made on the time and management skills of horticulturalists and landscapers. Added to this they have responsibilities towards the environment and ever changing consumer demands. They must therefore constantly seek ways to improve and sustain quality plant reaction, while maintaining soil fertility.

Keeping fertilizer where it’s needed – near the roots of the plants – has always been problematic. Fertilizer leaches away and the surrounding weeds and other vegetation scavenge it, so that less fertilizer is available to the intended plant itself. The Earth Spice slow release fertilizer tablets provide a solution to this problem.

The Earth Spice tablets are formulated to contain the complete range of macro- and micro nutrients in the right ratios. To prevent over or under fertilization, the tablets are available in various sizes, making application and control of fertilizer very easy.

Applying tablet fertilizers requires less labour and effort. One or two tablets are simply pressed into the soil next to the plant. The rate at which nutrients are released from the tablet depends on the volume of water running over it. Water trickling slowly over the tablet dissolves the outer layers and releases the nutrients little by little into the root zone below.

This means that the nutrients are made available to the plant over along period, so that the roots and their beneficial micro-flora have more time to take it up, and do so more efficiently. Consequently, people can now fertilize less frequently and can also be sure that their plants are well nurtured even when they are away for prolonged periods.

In short: A nutrient system that is quick, easy and accurate.

Advantages

  • The extended nutrient release, decrease the fluctuations in nutrient concentrations in the root zone.
  • Better utilization of nutrients by plants.
  • Reduced losses of nutrients in the environment.
  • Reduction in fertilizer waste.
  • Unique ratio of macro- and micro nutrient concentrations in the root zone.
  • Better utilization of labour.
